What is derma-planing?
Derma-planing is performed by a licensed and trained skin care professional using a medical grade scalpel to exfoliate the top layer of your skin.
The primary goal of derma-planing is a deep exfoliation and added bonus of peach fuzz (vellus hair) removal. This leaves your skin visibly smoother and brighter. Another added bonus your skincare products will also perform more effectively!

How long does derma-planing results last?
this treatment removes up to 3 weeks of dead skin cells that have accumulated, the results can last up to 4 weeks. Having a daily skincare regimen for maintenance can prolong the results for up to 6 months!
Although the primary goal of derma-planing is exfoliation the removal of peach fuzz (vellus hair) is just a bonus. It is important to note that a home facial razor will only “shave” the noticeable facial hair and are designed with safety bumpers to keep your skin safe.

Myth- Derma-planing will cause the hair to grow back darker and thicker.
Truth- The hair will grow back the same color and thickness as before. It’s physiologically impossible to change the thickness or color of the hair.

Will derma-planing cause breakouts?
By exfoliating the dead skin it will help keep your skin clear. It will also allow better product penetration.
Can you use a regular razor to derma-plane?
Shaving is NOT derma-planing. Razors are only to remove hair, while derma-planing uses a medical grade scalpel to remove dead skin cells & vellus hair.
